Material Flow EngineerRelocation Assistance Available – Warsaw, IndianaWe are seeking a highly driven Material Flow Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of material flow systems across warehouse and manufacturing operations.This is a high-impact role focused on improving factory logistics, material delivery efficiency, space utilization, and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in designing future-state systems, implementing automation and pull systems, and driving lean material flow strategies from warehouse to point-of-use.ResponsibilitiesDesign and optimize end-to-end material flow from warehouse to production lines using Lean principlesDevelop lineside replenishment systems including Kanban, pull systems, kitting, sequencing, and point-of-use deliveryCreate and maintain facility layouts for warehouse storage, routes, supermarkets, and production support areasManage PFEP (Plan for Every Part), including packaging, delivery frequency, transportation methods, and inventory levelsLead material handling equipment projects from concept through implementation (forklifts, tuggers, AGVs/AGCs, carts, racks, automation)Perform simulations and data analysis to identify congestion, inefficiencies, shortages, and improvement opportunitiesPartner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Logistics, IT, Purchasing, Quality, and SuppliersBuild ROI-driven business cases for automation, equipment, and process improvementsSupport cost reduction, space optimization, ergonomic improvements, and productivity gainsPresent recommendations and project updates to plant leadership Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field5+ years of relevant experience in automotive or other high-volume manufacturing environmentsProven experience with material flow design, warehouse logistics, and factory support systemsHands-on knowledge of PFEP, Kanban, pull systems, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvementExperience implementing material handling equipment and automation solutionsStrong proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, ERP systems, and simulation toolsExcellent analytical, project management, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced plant environment Preferred ExperienceFork-free material delivery strategiesAGVs / AGCs / autonomous material movement systemsWMS systems and tracking technologiesKitting, sequencing cells, and lean lineside presentation modelsApply today for immediate consideration.
