We specialize in biopharmaceutical facility design and deliver integrated solutions for leading industry clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects from concept through completion in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.GBA is offering a long-term career opportunity for a senior mechanical engineer with 7+ years of experience. The candidate will use their extensive experience in building system design to design complex facilities for top bio-pharmaceutical clients. You'll work directly with clients to establish design criteria, develop solutions that balance spatial, functional, and budgetary needs, and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory expectations. What You’ll Do Lead design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utility systems, for complex biopharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing facilitiesWork with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated building solutions that respond to client spatial, functional, and budgetary needsPerform design calculations, equipment selections, and review calculations and equipment selections performed by project team membersEvaluate and assess existing mechanical systems; develop retrofit and upgrade strategiesWork directly with clients to establish design criteria and develop design concepts that meet project goals and budgetary expectationsWrite technical specifications and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirementsMaintain project quality assurance and coordinate with other disciplines (architecture, electrical, process engineering, fire protection)Conduct field reviews, investigations, and support construction and commissioning phasesMentor and guide junior engineers; contribute to technical excellence across the team What You Bring BS in Mechanical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) License in Mechanical Engineering7+ years of experienceExperience with complex building projects; Life Sciences experience preferredProficiency in REVIT required; AutoCAD experience is a plusStrong collaboration and communication skillsAbility to thrive in a technically challenging, team-oriented environment Why You’ll Love Working Here At GBA, you’ll be part of a team that values integrity, safety, and innovation.
