Job DescriptionBank Operations ManagerPosition SummaryA local Mississippi bank is searching for an Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bank, ensuring efficient processes, regulatory compliance, customer service standards, and operational risk management. This role manages deposit operations, loan operations, branch operations support, and operational staff while working closely with executive management to improve systems, procedures, and overall bank efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations ManagementOversee daily bank operations, including deposit operations, loan operations, wire transfers, ACH, and customer service support functionsEnsure operational procedures are efficient, accurate, and compliant with bank policies and regulationsMonitor workflow to ensure timely processing of transactions and customer requestsDevelop and implement operational policies and proceduresIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and cost savingsCompliance & RiskEnsure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and audit requirementsWork closely with Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit teamsMonitor operational risk and implement controls to reduce errors and lossesAssist with internal and external audits and regulatory examsLeadership & Staff ManagementSupervise and manage operations staff, including deposit operations, loan operations, and support personnelTrain, mentor, and develop operations employeesConduct performance reviews and set department goalsAssist in hiring and staffing decisionsSystems & TechnologyWork with core processing systems and banking softwareAssist with system upgrades, conversions, and new product implementationsEnsure operational systems are functioning efficientlyHelp implement automation and digital banking improvementsReporting & AdministrationPrepare operational reports for executive managementMonitor department budgets and expensesTrack operational metrics such as efficiency, errors, and processing timesSupport strategic initiatives and bank growth plansQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred5+ years of banking experience3+ years of banking operations experience or management experienceStrong knowledge of deposit operations, loan operations, and bank proceduresKnowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirementsExperience with core banking systems (FIS, Jack Henry, Fiserv, etc.) preferredStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsPreferred SkillsCore system knowledgeProcess improvement and workflow managementAudit and compliance knowledgeStrong Excel and reporting skillsAbility to manage multiple departments and prioritiesLeadership and team developmentOversees:Deposit OperationsLoan OperationsWire/ACH DepartmentCustomer Service/SupportBranch Operations Support Qualified applicants may apply directly or email a resume to: wendy.hicks@gogpac.com or call 605-403-5157All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
