We have assembled a world-class team with a passion for renewable energy innovation and a commitment to developing renewable projects throughout the US.Job PurposeThe EHS Specialist plays a key role in advancing the company's environmental, health, and safety strategy by ensuring regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across field and corporate operations. This position leads EHS training and audit programs, supports incident investigations and corrective action tracking, and maintains policies and systems that align with OSHA, EPA, and company standards. The role partners closely with employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies to communicate safety expectations and ensure operational readiness. Through consistent field presence, data-driven insights, and proactive engagement, the EHS Specialist contributes to operational excellence and a strong, safety-first culture. This individual will need to commute weekly to the various sites within AZ. There is additional travel monthly to visit other sites.ResponsibilitiesSchedule and conduct EHS training for field and corporate employeesSchedule and conduct EHS audits for field and corporate locationsReview and update EHS policies and proceduresReview incident reports and assist with investigationsCreate and track corrective actions from audit and incident findingsCommunicate environmental, health, and safety requirements to staff and business partnersAssist with EHS reporting and reporting systemInteract with governmental agency contacts during facility visitsManage Indji weather monitoring and notificationsTravel as required, 25% – 35% travel expectedProvide input on the ordering of site EHS equipmentUpkeep of corporate EHS file structureMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience in solar energy or battery energy storage system construction or operations and maintenanceAbility to work remotely without constant direct supervisionProficient in Windows environment - MS Office, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, WordValid driver's licensePhysical Requirements:Ability to conduct visual inspection of facilities and negotiate uneven, rough, and variable terrain in varying weather conditionsRemaining in a stationary position (i.e., seated or standing if able) for prolonged periodsAdjusting or moving objects weighing up to 75lbsSpeak to a room of individuals without a microphone for several hoursAbility to climb fixed ladder in excess of 330'Ability to squat or duck and move under solar and wind turbine componentsAbility to enter, work in and attend confined spacesWorking knowledge of environmental and governmental complianceOSHA: 29 CFR 1910 and 1926CWA: 40 CFR 112Firsthand experience with LOTO, Ergonomics, Risk assessment, Incident AnalysisDesired/Preferred Qualifications5+ years of progressive EHS experienceEHS software/systems experienceContract management experienceKnowledge of local, state and federal regulatory agencies and requirementsExperience with industrial hygiene, OSHA and EPA compliance, and emergency responseKnowledge of DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulationsCharacteristics Necessary for SuccessA collaborative style and a can-do attitudeComfortable with fast paced, rapidly changing environmentAbility to make informed decisions quicklyPassionate and enthusiastic about alternative energyIntegrity and accountabilityOtherApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
