Regional Sales Manager Position SpecificationOverviewElectro-Mechanical, LLC, a growth-oriented, privately held company specializing in the design, manufacture, and sales of electrical distribution equipment across multiple markets, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM). The RSM role is responsible for identifying, strategizing, providing technical resources and building business relationships with manufacturing representatives and end-users to grow sales in the region. We are looking for a professional candidate who is team oriented, customer driven, highly competitive and embodies a strong work ethic.ResponsibilitiesAchieve or exceed sales targets for all productsMaximize sales potential at existing accountsGrow customer base, gain customer approvals of Electro-Mechanical productsBuild positive working relationship with existing customers and channel partnersLead and manage local channel partnersManage the flow of information and communications between Electro-Mechanical and customers and channel partnersProvide direction to the factory in support of customer needsMaintain a high level of knowledge of Electro-Mechanical products and services, to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutionsAbility to effectively present to customers and agents the product differentiation offered by Electro-Mechanical productsAbility to navigate and guide potential customers toward an Electro-Mechanical provided solutionDevelop and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and schedule plan for assigned territoryCollect and analyze competitive market data, market share, pricing and develop recommendations to adjust sales strategiesProvide field training, product demonstrations to customers and channel partnersAttend applicable trade shows, conferences and seminars as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited institution5 plus years of sales experience in the electric utility marketKnowledge of MV: switchgear, transformers, electrical distribution network and substationsExperience in managing channel partnersExcellent negotiating and business closing skillsStrong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on relationship/team buildingStrong motivation and initiative, self-starter and accountability for resultsAbility to work without detailed directionStrong business acumen and commercial savvyExcellent communication skills (written and spoken) to both technical and non-technical customersWell established organizational, time-management, and presentation skillsAbility to establish effective working relationships and collaborations, both internally and externallyDemonstrated ability to manage and maintain existing customersDemonstrated perseverance to follow up on open leads and convert these into salesDemonstrated achievement in business development and/or product management within relevant industry sectorsComputer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
