In this intermediate-level role, you will be responsible for performing electronic repairs, commissioning, and maintenance of navigation systems onboard vessels. The position requires a solid technical background, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to work confidently with customers both in shipyards and onboard operational vessels. Regular travel within America (and occasionally beyond) should be expected.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electronic repairs and maintenance of marine navigation equipment onboard vesselsExecute commissioning and field service tasks in accordance with project work plansConduct functional tests, troubleshooting, adjustments, and system verificationsSupport installation work and perform pre-commissioning checks as neededDocument all work performed and prepare clear, accurate service reportsCollaborate with shipyards, shipowners, classification societies, and internal departmentsEnsure work is performed in accordance with NACOS Marine Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental guidelinesPromote available solutions and provide technical guidance to customers when appropriateKey RequirementsTechnical background in electronics, electrical engineering, or marine systems, ideally within the maritime industryExperience working with shipborne electronic or navigation equipmentAbility to read and understand electronic and electrical documentationHands-on, structured, and solution-oriented working styleStrong communication skills and ability to interact confidently with customersFluency in English (spoken and written)Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally worldwideWhy choose us and why we’d choose you?At NACOS, we empower people to take ownership, innovate, and grow.
