Hospitals, hotels, schools, bridges, airports and more.Come build a career you believe in.About The RoleAs a Material Handler at Maverick Pipe at Zekelman Industries, Richmond, KY, this role is responsible for picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. This position supports efficient warehouse and shipping operations through safe material handling and inventory management. This role is ideal for individuals who are safety-focused, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.Shift: 4:30am - 4:30pmWhat You’ll DoChampion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirementsPrepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipmentProcess and fulfill orders from customers and internal teamsPick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning toolsLoad shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers safely and efficientlyReceive, inspect, and process incoming materials while reporting damages or discrepanciesReplenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using reach trucks or forkliftsOperate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficientlyStandardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures to improve accuracy and efficiencyPerform additional duties as assignedMaintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendanceWho You AreMinimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or equivalent experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent, preferred; technical training is a plusBasic math skills to support accurate order processingStrong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsProblem-solving ability to address warehouse and shipping challengesHigh attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality standardsCommitment to maintaining safe work practices in a warehouse environmentPhysical AbilitiesLift, carry, push, and pull materials as required throughout the shiftStand, walk, bend, stoop, and move for extended periodsOperate warehouse equipment safely and efficientlyPerform work in a warehouse or manufacturing environmentWhat You’ll GetMaverick Pipe at Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental coverage.
