This is a team that will truly bring you in and treat you like family.Never a Dull Moment!If you're interested in a variety of work, we often cross-train and cross utilize different skills in this team environment where everyone pitches in.What Are We Looking For?Qualified candidates must have at least one year of line cook experience or formal culinary training and additional training is provided.Steady work history highly preferred.Want more specifics?Why this job mattersAs a Line Cook, you bring the chef's vision to life by preparing delicious dishes with precision, consistency, and care. Whether on the Plank House hot line or pantry, you help create memorable dining experiences by following recipes, mastering technique, and maintain the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and teamwork.What you bring to the tableMake sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.Prepare and cook food items to order, following standardized recipes and approved methods to ensure consistency and quality.Maintain par levels of food items at your station, keeping service smooth and efficient.Properly store all food products in compliance with Oregon Food Safety regulations.Execute daily specials and chef-driven creations with attention to detail and creativity.Utilize a variety of cooking equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and steam tables, with confidence and care.Assist the Expeditor in plating, ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen looking as good as it tastes.Keep the kitchen clean and organized, with a focus on maintaining your work area during and after each shift.Step into stewarding duties when needed, supporting the overall success of the kitchen team.Assist with prep in the main kitchen as directed.Complete temperature checks, food transfer logs, and other assigned documentation with accuracy.Convert recipes as needed to adjust portion sizes while preserving quality.Demonstrate knowledge and proper use of all equipment in your station, ensuring it is well-maintained and safe.Proactively prep and restock items throughout the shift to keep the line running smoothly.Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)Must-haves, nice-to-haves, and maybe some bonus pointsFriendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.One (1) year prior experience as a full-service line cook OR one year of formal culinary education; an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be consideredMust obtain a current Food Handler's Card.Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.Physical stuff to knowWe've included the typical physical parts of the job here.
