Infra Engineer - Data Center

Job SummaryThe Infrastructure Engineer will manage and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of critical systems. The role is hands-on, focused on VMware virtualization, networking, storage, and related technologies within a regulated financial services environment. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and support data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and network components.Install, configure, and manage VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) for optimal performance and capacity.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in LAN, WAN, firewalls, and load balancers.Ensure 24x7 availability of mission-critical systems through proactive monitoring and incident resolution.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement fixes to prevent recurring issuesSupport change management, incident management, and ITIL-based operational processes.Collaborate with application, security, and cloud teams to support infrastructure needs and projects.Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and audit requirements.Required Qualifications & Experience:5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and data center operations.Strong technical expertise in VMware virtualization (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).Solid understanding of enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing).Experience with high-availability and large-scale data center environments.Familiarity with ITIL-based operations (incident, change, and problem management).Experience in regulated environments, preferably financial services.
