Accounting Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise the processing of accounts receivables and payables
Preparing accruals and reconciling to the general ledger
Payroll reporting in EPICOR
Analyze invoice/expense reports and recording entries
Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements
Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the accounts payable function in accordance with records retention policies and procedures
Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
Provide monthly job cost reports
Report daily orders, shipments, backlog activities
Provide Credit analysis and reports
Generate monthly, quarterly or annual financial statements and reports detailing paid and unpaid invoices and other accounts receivable activity
Provide needed information for annual audits
Provide corporate finance team with needed data and information
Maintain and improve gross margin reports
Present and initiate EPICOR improvements
Develop current team to take on more responsibilities as opportunities are presented
Serve as a backup to accounts payable and accounts receivable
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience
Computer Skills
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
Other Requirements
Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Strong mathematical skills
Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
Excellent data entry skills
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
Other Skills
Managing Cash effectively
Reconciling Balance Sheet Accounts
Accuracy of invoice payments to vendors
Verification and approval of vendor invoices
Report any fraudulent transactions to Management Team
Accuracy of published reports
Maintaining and making procedural improvements
