Our Meat Associates play a critical role in this experience by supporting our Butchers, assisting customers with confidence, and ensuring our cases are always fresh, full, and inviting. Routine Tasks:Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestions Maintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checks Restock and rotate displays to ensure visual appeal and freshness Package, label, and price self-service items accurately Cut and prepare meat products to Joseph's specifications Take and fulfill custom and special orders for customers Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and prep surfaces consistently Operate and maintain knives, scales, band saws, grinders, wrapping machines, and other Meat equipment Assist with other tasks as assigned Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age Prior meat, grocery, or food service experience preferred Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic math and reading skills Strong attention to detail and visual presentation Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude A passion for serving people Physical & Work EnvironmentA Meat Associate works primarily in the Meat department. This role involves walking and standing for extended periods, lifting products up to 80 pounds, and working in both Meat preparation rooms and refrigerated coolers with varying temperatures. Frequent interaction with customers and fellow team members is an essential part of the role.
