Location: Onsite 5 days a week in Ardmore, OKPay: $70/hr - $75/hrType: Long Term Contract RoleAre you a hands-on Mechanical Engineer who enjoys taking projects from concept through installation, commissioning, and startup? This is an opportunity to join a major manufacturing operation and play a key role in executing capital projects that directly impact plant productivity, quality, and operational performance. You will lead mechanical engineering activities, manage contractors, support equipment installations, and help drive successful project execution in a highly automated industrial environment.Work EnvironmentFull-time onsite position in Ardmore, OklahomaStandard schedule is Monday-Friday, approximately 40 hours per weekOccasional weekend, holiday, and plant shutdown support required during major installations and startupsTravel typically averages up to 30%, though some projects may require additional travelWhat You'll DoLead mechanical engineering activities for capital equipment and facility projectsSupport industrial equipment installation, machine relocation, decommissioning, reassembly, alignment, commissioning, and startup activitiesDevelop machine specifications, equipment layouts, mechanical drawings, schematics, and complete documentation packagesCreate project budgets, cost estimates, and contractor bid packagesManage equipment procurement, fabrication follow-up, factory acceptance testing, and incoming equipment inspectionsCoordinate contractors, maintenance teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders during installations and startupsDevelop safety documentation, risk assessments, operator training materials, and maintenance proceduresSupport both brownfield and greenfield project implementationsEnsure projects comply with company standards and industry regulationsTravel to project sites as needed to support installations and commissioning activitiesWhat We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education3+ years of engineering experience within industrial manufacturing, heavy industrial, or large commercial environmentsExperience managing contractors, vendors, and cross-functional project teamsHands-on experience with:Equipment installation and commissioningMachine relocation and startup activitiesMechanical systems troubleshootingIndustrial project executionKnowledge of:PneumaticsHydraulicsPiping and fittingsIndustrial mechanical systemsExperience with mechanical design standards such as OSHA, ASME, ANSI, and ISOStrong project planning, communication, and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Project)Preferred QualificationsAutoCAD or DraftSight 2D experienceExperience with lifting devices, cranes, jibs, end-effectors, and below-the-hook equipmentKnowledge of motor, gearbox, and drive system sizing and selectionExperience with mechanics of materials, stress analysis, and FEAPrevious project management or project leadership experience involving installation planning, scheduling, and risk assessmentIf you enjoy being in the field, solving real-world mechanical challenges, and seeing projects come to life from concept through commissioning, we'd love to hear from you.
