Location: Bend, OR (On-site) Employment Status: Full-Time Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour Role Overview A leading industrial machinery manufacturer in Bend is looking for a mechanically and electrically skilled CNC Technical Support Specialist. Please be aware that this position focuses on industrial machinery support rather than IT, desktop support, or network administration. You will be responsible for delivering remote troubleshooting and diagnostic support for plasma cutting systems, motion-control hardware, and heavy CNC machinery. This position is ideal for someone with a deep mechanical aptitude who enjoys understanding how complex equipment functions, and it provides significant career advancement, including the possibility of future field service travel. Primary Duties Provide remote support through email, phone, and digital tools to help clients resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and motion-control problems. Guide clients through system testing and component isolation, utilizing wiring diagrams, schematics, and digital multimeters to ensure equipment reliability. Identify and resolve issues related to torch alignment, gantry assemblies, gearboxes, power supplies, sensors, relays, drives, and motors. Support the team by assisting with machine calibration, startup procedures, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting controller software or CAD/CAM systems. Maintain accurate records of technical solutions in the CRM and manage the coordination of warranty claims and necessary replacement parts. Required Skills and Experience Proven experience in mechanical or electrical troubleshooting, including the ability to use digital multimeters and various hand tools. A solid grasp of control circuits, relays, switches, motors, fuses, and wiring, along with the ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. The ability to communicate intricate technical instructions clearly to clients who may have varying levels of mechanical expertise. Ideal professional backgrounds include mechatronics, industrial maintenance, heavy equipment or automotive/diesel repair, welding/fabrication, or military technical roles. A willingness to undergo in-house training with the future expectation of traveling 50–75% of the time to perform installations, repairs, and field service tasks.
