This role sits at the intersection of quantitative problem-solving and production engineering. The ideal candidate can translate complex trading, inventory, and client problems into efficient, scalable systems, with a strong focus on code quality, memory efficiency, and parallel execution.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement front-office quantitative applications and analytics engines across the full stackDevelop high-performance backend services using C# with modern .NET (preferably .NET 8)Build and optimize data pipelines and database interactions for large-scale datasetsApply efficient memory management, performance optimization, and parallel computing techniquesDevelop and maintain Python-based analytics and research workflows integrated with production systemsCollaborate with Sales, Trading, Risk, Technology, Finance, and Treasury teamsOwn solutions end-to-end: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and optimizationDepth & Scope:Gathers, researches information and analyzes the marketExecutes detailed data analysis and valuationProvides in-depth market reports and expert recommendationsIdentifies issues affecting clients and provides recommendations to remedyDevelops deep client relationships and presents new ideas to clientsExecutes trades and secures deals with new clientsKeeps market-making traders informed of relevant issues with their customers and productsObtains market prices from market-making traders and executes the tradeEnsures all trades are confirmed with the broker/dealerInputs trades (post execution), and Verifies transactions meet company policies and followed approved guidelinesResearches and resolves trade discrepanciesConfirms trade blotters against trades booked in systemsCoordinates with back office on all failed trade status and communicates to front officeCoordinates with back office on position breaks and reports to the front officeAssists traders in mark-to-market processCoordinates trade reconciliation discrepancy resolution with back officeLooks for ways to improve work flow efficienciesReads and understands the Trading Supervision StandardDemonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practicesEducation & Experience: Bachelor's degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience3+ Years of related experienceAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, establishes priorities, and possesses strong communication, analytical and problem solving skillsManagement experience and solid computer skills a mustPreferred Qualifications:2–4 years of experience as a Quant Developer, Quant Strats or Software Engineer in a trading or analytics environmentStrong proficiency in C# and modern .NET (ideally .NET 8) with production system experienceFull-stack engineering experience, including backend services and data access layersStrong experience with databases, data modeling, and query optimizationSolid understanding of memory efficiency, performance tuning, and parallel or concurrent computingProficiency in Python and SQL for analytics and prototypingExcellent problem-solving skills and strong analytical thinkingExperience with Azure, Snowflake, Docker, or KubernetesExposure to high-throughput or low-latency systemsKnowledge of Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending, Equity Swaps, or trading platformsExperience with time-series analysis, optimization, or quantitative modelingStrong ownership mindset and ability to operate in a front-office environmentComfortable bridging quantitative analysis and software engineeringClear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
