Sr. Nuclear Regulatory Attorney
Position Title: Sr. Nuclear Regulatory CounselLocation: Would require relocation outside of Washington D.C., United States (Relocation Assistance Provided)Compensation: $200,000-$320,000 base + STI + Equity (dependant on experience)We are supporting a large, well-capitalized power generation company in the appointment of a Senior Counsel to support nuclear regulatory and operational matters across its U.S. nuclear portfolio.Role Overview:Reporting to senior legal leadership, you will provide legal support across a portfolio of operating nuclear facilities and related projects. This role sits at the intersection of regulatory compliance, operational risk, and commercial strategy.Key responsibilities include:Advising on NRC regulatory matters, including licensing, enforcement, and complianceSupporting legal aspects of nuclear fleet operations and recommissioning initiativesDrafting and negotiating vendor, fuel supply, and operational agreementsProviding strategic legal advice on regulatory risk, disputes, and compliance mattersPartnering closely with operational, regulatory, and executive stakeholdersRole Requirements:J.D. and admission to at least one U.S. state bar3+ years of legal experienceStrong experience with nuclear regulatory matters, ideally involving NRC frameworksBackground at a law firm, nuclear operator, regulator, or in-house legal teamExperience advising on complex regulatory and commercial mattersWhat's in it for you?Joining a market-leading power generation platformWorking on high-impact nuclear regulatory and operational mattersExposure to senior leadership and strategic projectsStrong long-term career growth within a sophisticated legal teamIf you have this experience and only if you have this experience, email your resume to aselvakkumar@hpexec.com
