Hotel Maintenance Engineer

This is a Full-Time position- Shifts needed are a varied majority of shifts between the 3rd shift and 2nd shift. Applicant must be an active Local 399 member, have an active certified Stationary Engineering license, and must present document. Responsibilities: Take care of guest complaints regarding building maintenance and troubleshoot issues Follow all engineering safety rules and regulations Manage the hotel's machinery and preventive maintenance procedures Work in collaboration with other technicians who will assist you with a variety of maintenance tasks Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand Qualifications: Hotel Experience: The ability to communicate professionally with guests and staff Skilled in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool license, painting/wallpaper, air handlers/exhaust fans, commercial laundry equipment, pump boilers license, chillers, HVAC / refrigeration- and any other building equipment Able to crawl through mechanical catwalks and ceilings when it is needed Ability to work in high and confined spaces Great problem-solving skills About Company Just off Magnificent Mile, our suites are adjacent to the John Hancock Center.
