Experience in data collection and data reporting preferredExperience supervising and/or leading employeesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsFlexible schedule with availability during evenings, weekends and holidays Reports To: Chief Financial OfficerResponsibilities Of PositionManage the district's servers, storage, security, back up and network infrastructure.Serve as the district Information Resource Manager and Information Security Officer, managing information security efforts.Serve on the State IRM Council for State IT standards and act as district liaison to DTI.Coordinate the development of technology equipment and set technology standards.Oversee the district's IT architecture, while also providing direction, clear communication and management of technology personnel.Provide technology oversight for the district security, HVAC systems, transportation system, and state student assessment programs.Ensure technology purchases are in accordance with State and District procurement guidelines.Advise district personnel on the purchase of new educational technology and develop an annual budget for current/future technology needs ensuring all technology purchases are in accordance with State and District procurement guidelines.Oversee inventory/repair of all district technology equipment and maintain software licenses. Align the district's technology vision and overall district IT strategy with instructional goals by integrating IT processes and technology initiatives within the existing infrastructure.Develop a long-range plan for the use of present and emerging technology to improve the instructional process and the efficiency of administrative functions.Coordinate the use of technology by teachers, administrators, support staff, and students to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of programs and services.Review, evaluate, and inform instructional staff of recently developed commercial software and make recommendations to integrate these programs into the curriculum.Define and enforce minimum specifications for district technology purchases and standards for connectivity and network protocols.Coordinate and maintain the telecommunications wiring throughout the district to ensure that each classroom has appropriate access to all potential information sources.Coordinate the automation and technological enhancements in all district libraries.Implement and maintain efficient and technologically advanced administrative systems.Attend workshops, conferences, and classes to increase professional knowledge; stay abreast of new technologies and software.Other duties as assigned as the above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities.
