Job Details Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro ICU / Travel Nurse Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010 Location: Jackson, TN 38301 (Jackson, Tennessee travel nurse job) Setting: Neuro ICU (9 beds, typical daily census 8) Contract Length: 13 weeks (4/13/2026 – 7/13/2026) Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:30 – 07:00) — critical care night shift Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; must be willing to work Memorial Day Orientation: 16 hours Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg-Tele experience required; neuro or ICU experience preferred Active Tennessee RN license or compact RN license (required) Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Epic electronic charting experience within the last 12 months (must be detailed on submission profile) Ability and willingness to float to other ICUs, Med/Surg/Tele, and progressive care units (no exceptions) Previous charge nurse experience and community hospital experience preferred COVID-19 and seasonal Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted for COVID only) Critical care certification (CCRN) or neurocritical care training is a plus Core Responsibilities Provide high-quality neurocritical care to adults and geriatric patients, including post-surgical, stroke, and post-TPA cases Manage complex patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases, and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Perform ICU procedures: arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, and wound care Assist with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and therapeutic hypothermia protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, IV teams, and rapid response Maintain strict infection prevention and isolation precautions consistent with ICU and hospital policies Flex to other units as needed and adapt to varied critical care and progressive care environments Why apply?
