Dental Front Office SupervisorWe are seeking a full-time Dental Front Office Supervisor for our Arrow Dental Clinic in La Grande. This position will provide supervision of the front office and is responsible for administering the day-to-day activities of the business office, including maintenance of the records of patients, scheduling of patients, accounts receivable, maintaining appearance and order of dental office, presentation of financial treatment plan options, and recall/recare system.Benefits:Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, and Employee Assistant ProgramPTO and paid company holidays401k and FSAPay Range: $26.70 to $32.97 per hour (depending on experience). Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.Primary Functions:1. Complete day-to-day operations of the dental office2. Open and close dental office according to office protocol3. Review the office for a neat, professional appearance and make necessary changes4. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the practice5. Help explain office policy to patients6. Collect payment from patients at the time of treatment7. Make a follow-up appointment as needed8. See that records are stored securely and handled in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations9. Assist in the treatment room as needed10. Verify and update insurance information on all patients11. Submit treatment plans for predetermination of benefits when appropriate12. Coordinate patient referrals when necessary13. Prepare claims forms for patients with dental insurance14. Monitor inventory and order office supplies as needed15. Provides regular communications with Dental Clinic Operations Manager regarding the status of daily operations.16. Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills:1. Dental office or equivalent work experience or post-secondary education2. Demonstrated knowledge of dental clinic, patient flow, tracking, triage, health education, dental office procedures, and health care scheduling3. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and dental insurance4. Strong supervisory skills, including problem solving, time management, employee training and development, and team building preferred5. Proven professional demeanor and ability to use good judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential information & conform to HIPAA regulations6. 2-4 years dental office experience or equivalent management experience preferred7. Computer proficiency with DAISY or other dental practice management system and Microsoft Office applications preferred8. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills9. Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills10. Ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities11. Self-motivated, organized, & able to work independently and as a team member12. Ability to read, understand and apply administrative policies and procedures13. Ability to come into work on time and on a daily basis14.
