Cloud Security Posture Management Engineer
We have a 6-month remote Cloud Security Posture Management Engineer contract that may be extended by our client for another 1 year. The anticipated start is September 30, 2024.Our client continuously endeavors to ensure that technology is updated, and processes are optimized throughout their department. To meet that goal, our client is pursuing business process and technological changes to ensure sustainability and modernization of the current systems. Our client intends to implement new technology to assist in delivering the best service possible and meet the changing business needs of their department, business partners, and customers. The department continues to work towards their vision to adopt the Modern Management with the objective to migrate off the current legacy operating systems, move data to the cloud, stabilize existing applications in the environment, and architect and redesign identity provisioning systems.Our client is currently experiencing a severe shortage of qualified cloud security tools. Additionally, the recent increase in efforts related to several large and critical enterprise projects has significantly increased the required workload of our security services.As such, our client requires a highly skilled cloud security tools implementation to secure and support project initiatives as well as providing dependable security guidance to production workloads and services.Our Client Is Seeking Professional Services To Implement Cloud Security Tools To Perform The Following Services, Including But Not Limited ToPost-Implement cloud security monitoring toolTenable Cloud SecuritySecurity alertFully remote, hybrid, or an onsite work schedule must be approved by our client, at their discretion.Minimum Qualifications4 years’ experience in implementing a Cloud native application protection platform. The implementation must be capable of providing robust access governance, risk identification, and data exposure detection features.Experience with Cloud Security Poster Management (CSPM) tools, and other cloud-native security technologies like Identity Access Management (IAM), firewall management, encryption, and security event logging.5 years’ experience in reporting any thread detections and remediate misconfigurations in the cloud platform and comply with industry best practices framework.Experience with cloud deployment and management services (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.).Experience in defining the security alert monitoring strategy roadmap; ensuring all critical alerts and notifications are operational and directed to the correct individuals or teams.Demonstrated knowledge on threat landscapes and threat modeling, security threat and vulnerability management, and security monitoring for datacenters, hybrid, and Cloud deployments (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform, Azure).Experience in handling and responding to security incidents in the cloud, including identification, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned.Desirable QualificationsAWS Associate or Professional certification (Preferably: Solution Architect and Security Specialty).
