Personal Driver/Delivery Driver/Warehouse

GELLER LIGHTING SUPPLY CO. is Maryland’s largest, independently-owned commercial lighting distributor. Our company specializes in providing lighting solutions that meet the needs of each of our individual clients. Our company is hiring for a Personal Driver/Delivery Driver/Warehouse Support position. This is a full-time position based in our Baltimore distribution center. Primary Responsibilities As Personal Driver/Delivery Driver/Warehouse Support responsibilities include, but are not limited to: MAINTAINING 0 POINTS ON DRIVING RECORD · Transporting management to various appointments · Ensuring vehicle(s) have sufficient gas and are always ready for use · Keeping vehicle(s) clean · Abiding by road regulations at all times · Performing order fulfillment in a time-sensitive fashion · Receiving deliveries and inspecting for quality control · Ensuring the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse · Maintaining a positive working relationship with fellow team members and vendors · Loading, preparing, inspecting and operating the delivery vehicle · Following delivery routes and time schedules Qualifications To be eligible for this position, you will: · MAINTAIN 0 POINTS ON DRIVING RECORD · Have proven experience as a chauffeur or personal driver · Have familiarity with GPS software and local traffic reports · Have good knowledge of local roads · Be neatly presented and maintain a professional appearance · Have a clear criminal record · Be punctual and reliable · Have good verbal communication skills · Meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to standing, walking, stooping, crouching, kneeling, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds · Make safety a priority in material handling · Enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment · Possess a “customer-first” mentality which includes a sense of urgency in fulfilling orders as quickly as possible · Demonstrate strong skills in organization, attention-to-detail, and time-management Benefits As an employee of GELLER LIGHTING SUPPLY CO., you will receive: · Medical benefits · Paid vacation and personal days · Paid company holidays · Retirement/profit-sharing plan contributions Job Type: Full-time Experience: 0 POINTS ON DRIVING RECORD A MUST TO BE CONSIDERED Personal driver (chauffeur): 5 years Delivery driver: 5 years Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Paid training Referral program Shift: Day shift Work Days: Monday to Friday Experience: Route driving: 5 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Halethorpe, MD 21227 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Halethorpe, MD 21227: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
