About the RoleOur client is seeking a Media Manager to join the UCAN Series Marketing team to lead campaign strategy and execution for a portfolio of original series titles across the US and Canada.You will support a slate of scripted, unscripted, and live titles, owning approximately 8–12 campaigns during the contract. This role is highly hands-on, requiring both creative thinking and execution, with a focus on delivering culturally relevant, idea-led campaigns that drive outsized impact, especially on lean budgets (typically under $2M).This is not a purely oversight role. You will be actively involved in shaping campaigns alongside writers, showrunners, and creative teams, where media itself becomes the creative idea, not just the delivery mechanism.What This Role Is (and Isn’t)You will thrive in this role if you:● See media as a creative canvas, not just execution● Can make smaller-budget campaigns feel like tentpole moments through bold ideas● Are comfortable both owning campaigns independently and supporting larger ones● Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments● Are deeply connected to entertainment, pop culture, and audience behaviorThis role is not ideal if you:● Primarily oversee campaigns without hands-on execution● Prefer structured, slow-moving environments● Focus only on large-budget, tentpole campaignsKey ResponsibilitiesCampaign Strategy & Planning● Lead 360° campaign strategy for assigned original series titles across UCAN● Develop positioning, audience targeting, and launch plans tailored to each title● Identify culturally relevant opportunities (partnerships, stunts, experiential, placements) that drive earned media and conversationCampaign Execution & Delivery● Own end-to-end execution across digital, TV, OOH, social, experiential, partnerships, print, and events● Manage timelines, deliverables, and creative alignment across internal and external teams● Ensure all campaign elements reflect the unique voice and tone of each titleCross-Functional Collaboration● Partner directly with writers, showrunners, and creative teams to shape campaign direction● Manage media and creative agencies from ideation through execution● Collaborate across publicity, social, brand, talent, and operations for integrated campaignsTalent & Stakeholder Management● Support talent-driven campaign moments and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders● Drive alignment across stakeholders while maintaining creative ambitionPerformance & Optimization● Evaluate campaign performance and opportunities based on insights and cultural signals● Make creative and strategic decisions on where to invest, optimize, or pivot● Focus is on decision-making and creative optimization, not heavy reportingRequired Skills & Experience● 5–8+ years of marketing experience, preferably in entertainment or content marketing● Strong experience marketing original series (preferred) or premium film/content● Proven track record of hands-on campaign execution (not just oversight)● Experience building campaigns from concept through launch● Ability to deliver high-impact campaigns on lean budgets (~$2M or less)● Strong fluency across digital, social, and traditional media channels● Ability to translate IP, storytelling, and creative voice into marketing campaignsPreferred Skills● Experience working directly with writers, showrunners, or creative talent● Experience in stunt marketing, experiential campaigns, or cultural activations● Track record of generating earned media and social buzz● Experience across multiple content types (scripted, unscripted, live)Ideal Candidate Profile● A hybrid of creative thinker + hands-on executor● Deeply culturally fluent with strong instincts for audience engagement● Scrappy, proactive, and comfortable operating in ambiguity● Strong collaborator across creative, agencies, and internal teams● Thrives in fast-moving environments where speed and adaptability are critical
