Dietetic Assistant-Morristown Medical Center-Full Time

Responsible for working with nutrionists to improve patient's well-being by providing dietary support. Provides nutritional care and follows up with patients. Communicates patient's nutritional information appropriately to other health professionals.Principal Accountabilities:1. Coordinates patient's meal plans with healthcare professionals and nutritionists.2. Takes patient meal orders via phone and at the bedside.3. Assists with meal selections while taking into consideration cultural and/or religious preferences.4. Monitors patient meal tickets- this includes reviewing and modifying as needed to comply with prescribed diet order.5. Processes new diets, changes, tube feedings and NPO orders efficiently while keeping accurate records.6.
