Dev/Research Engineer
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Dev/Research Engineer 3 in Mossville, IL. The work will be done 100% onsite at the Mossville Tech Center. This is a 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $43/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).Job SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on Development/Research Engineer to lead hydraulic component and system testing projects from planning through final conclusions. This position will be responsible for test planning, setup, execution, data analysis, and failure analysis while working closely with lab management, test leads, shop personnel, engineers, and internal customers. The role provides broad exposure to hydraulic and fluid components and subsystems across multiple machine applications, including hands-on work with new technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead hydraulic testing projects from initial planning through testing, analysis, and final conclusions.Plan and set up component and system-level mechanical/hydraulic tests.Execute testing and collect, interpret, and analyze test data.Perform failure analysis and investigate component or system performance issues.Collaborate with lab managers, test leads, shop personnel, engineers, and internal customers to safely and efficiently complete projects.Required QualificationsFour-year technical degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.5–7 years of relevant experience, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.Internships can be counted toward relevant experience.Strong hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience.Demonstrated data analysis and failure analysis experience.Ability and willingness to perform hands-on mechanical work in a lab environment.Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with both engineers and shop personnel.Preferred QualificationsHands-on hydraulics experience.Component or system testing experience.Mechanical or hydraulic design experience.Project management experience.Experience leading testing activities or projects from planning through final analysis and conclusions.Why This Role?This position offers an opportunity to gain broad hands-on exposure to hydraulic and fluid components and subsystems used across a variety of machines and product groups.
