Chief Nursing Officer

Our Carefree Living organization is seeking an experienced and driven Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to lead and support nursing operations across our assisted living communities throughout Minnesota. We are committed to delivering exceptional resident-centered care while supporting our teams through collaboration, education, and operational excellence.The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for overseeing nursing quality assurance initiatives, regulatory compliance, clinical systems, operational standards, and best-in-class resident care throughout our locations. This leadership role will provide strategic oversight of nursing operations while supporting policy development, staff education, Medicaid optimization, quality assurance, and clinical compliance.Schedule: Full-time salaried position based on organizational needs and travel requirements.Location: Minnesota based position with local and regional travel to Carefree Living communities.Salary: Competitive salary based on experience.RESPONSIBILITIES:Interpret and oversee compliance with current county, state, and federal health care and nursing regulationsDevelop and implement nursing systems, policies, procedures, and quality assurance standardsLead clinical quality assurance initiatives and operational improvement strategies across all locationsProvide training, education, and ongoing support to licensed and unlicensed nursing staffConduct audits and evaluations of nursing services and recommend operational improvementsOversee and optimize Medicaid processes and reimbursement systems related to resident careEnsure resident assessments are completed accurately and within required timelinesCoordinate and support admissions review processes and complex resident care decisionsCollaborate with operations, finance, IT, and clinical teams to improve systems and workflowsSupport and oversee private pay and Medicaid-funded service assessmentsParticipate in the hiring, development, and support of licensed nursing personnelLead and support infection control and annual immunization initiativesMaintain relationships with county workers, regulatory agencies, referral sources, and community partnersParticipate in strategic planning and organizational growth initiativesEnsure communication and operational consistency across all Carefree Living communitiesSupport leadership teams in achieving regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and census goalsPerform additional duties as assigned by Executive LeadershipQUALIFICATIONS:Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota requiredBachelor of Science in Nursing preferredPublic Health certification preferredMinimum Of 10 Years Of Nursing Experience RequiredPrior management and supervisory experience requiredAssisted Living And/or Home Care Experience Strongly PreferredStrong understanding of Minnesota Assisted Living regulations and Medicaid processesExperience with quality assurance, policy development, staff training, and regulatory complianceExcellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and travel between locations as neededStrong proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and Microsoft Office applicationsBENEFITS:Flexible Schedules/Work-life balanceCompetitive WagesPaid TrainingCustomized orientation plan for your professional developmentEmployee Recognition ProgramsMedical/Dental/Vision insurance, company paid basic life and AD&D insuranceFlex Spending, Dependent Care & HSA options available401K with employer matchFree meals at Carefree Living sitesPaid Time OffIf you are a passionate nursing leader looking to make a meaningful impact across a growing senior living organization, we encourage you to apply and join the Carefree Living leadership team.Apply online: https://carefreeliving.applicantpool.com/jobs/Carefree Living is an EOE/Drug Free/AA EmployerSalary: $140000 - $150000 per year
