Construction Project Manager

A CP Build Construction Manager oversees and is responsible for all projects including project management and installation management. Construction Managers are responsible for turning over projects on time, under budget, and to a level of quality that everyone involved can be proud of. Construction Managers ensure the completion and facilitate the actual construction taking place on several projects simultaneously. They manage and coordinate the efforts of all CPB Installation Crews and 3rd Party Installation crews creating a “One-Stop-Shop” for our customers. Project Managers split their time between the office and the field as required. Project Managers manage both projects, and the people involved in them. They are the bearers of good news and bad. They work diligently to resolve concerns, work through issues, and manage the chaos that often accompanies the construction process. They are communicators, driven, and self-motivated. They bear the primary responsibility for the physical and financial success of each project, as well as the charge to maintain and improve customer relationships and experience.Roles & ResponsibilitiesManage the entire project cycle for multiple projectsResponsible for to own the entire contract process including schedule, storage, onsite constraints, equipment, payment terms, etc.Participate and provide updates on project status & attend scheduled meetingsCoordinate and Prioritize Shop Drawings Submittals, and Resubmittals with the client and Factories for formal approvalAccurately utilize and complete SOPs and ensure field / site conditions are accurateMediate, remedy, or resolve any potential issues, problems or discrepancies related to assigned project timelyWork with Install Manager, installers, and onsite management team throughout the length of the projectEnsure project schedule timelines are and needs are metManage material inventory throughout the ordering, shipping, delivery, and installation processesCoordinate and negotiate rates with installersPerform all warranty inspections prior to installationCommunicate and document constant updates regarding the project to internal and external customersVisit and inspect construction sites throughout the projectManage expectations with customers and installersImprove baseline project margins and ensure all work is completedComplete all closeout processes and checklistsOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in construction related field or 2+ years in a similar professional roleExperience in a role requiring the ability to be self-direct, work independently within a team environment with endurance to work projects through to completionExcellent written & verbal communication skillsA valid Driver’s License with access to a reliable vehicleAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion1+ year experience in a role requiring conflict resolution and/or customer serviceExperience in a role requiring creation, maintain and adhering to project schedules with an excellent track recordExperience as a construction supply or second tier subcontractorAbility to travel overnight up to 30%Ability to read and understand architectural drawingsBasic computer and Microsoft Office skillsAbility to see, hear, understand, and walk with reasonable accommodationsPreferred QualificationsOperating a forkliftExperience using Procore and/or Bluebeam Software applicationsBilingual Spanish speakingCompensationCompetitive compensation based on experience and/or qualificationsParticipation in the annual bonus plan (typically 5 - 20% of annual salary)Benefits EligibleJob Type: Full-time
