Process Optimization Engineer

About the Role As a Process Optimization Engineer, you will drive operational excellence by leading capital projects and refining production workflows. You will leverage your technical expertise in mechanical design and data analysis to enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality across our manufacturing campus. Responsibilities Lead cross-functional teams to execute large-scale capital projects and new product launches from conception to floor implementation. Design custom tooling, fixtures, and mechanical components using 3D CAD software to optimize production throughput. Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and implement data-driven improvements in cycle time and cost. Provide hands-on technical troubleshooting for mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime. Develop and maintain comprehensive process flow charts, facility layouts, and standardized operator work instructions. Collaborate with design teams to ensure product manufacturability and cost-effectiveness through rigorous engineering reviews. Utilize statistical analysis tools to monitor process capability and ensure adherence to quality standards. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 3+ years of professional experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Demonstrated proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Inventor. Strong background in CNC machining and industrial equipment maintenance. Proven ability to translate complex technical data into actionable insights for management. Preferred Skills Experience with statistical process control software like Minitab. Strong understanding of Cpk and Ppk metrics for quality assurance. Proven track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives in a production setting.
