Why this role matters This isn't a traditional AP role. You'll be on the front lines of ensuring payments are accurate, risks are managed, and fraud is caught before it happens. Your work directly impacts how quickly drivers get paid - and how safely we operate as a business. What you'll do Ensure accurate and timely payments by reviewing carrier and broker documentation Verify transaction accuracy by matching bills of lading, rate confirmations, and invoices Make risk-based decisions to approve transactions or escalate concerns Identify inconsistencies, abnormal patterns, or potential fraudulent activity Communicate with drivers, carriers, and brokers to resolve invoicing issues Partner closely with Customer Service and Sales teams to keep things moving What we're looking for Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret financial and logistics documents Sound judgment and a risk-aware mindset Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Bachelor's degree preferred Experience in logistics, finance, or accounts payable is a plus Benefits & Perks Employee stock options - we want you to have skin in the game 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off Weekly team lunches (on us) Unlimited caffeine (we don't judge your brand) BasicBlock is an equal opportunity employer.
