Material Handler
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Operates forklift and or combilift to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently to and from storage areas, workstations, and other assigned areas. Loads, transports, unloads, and stacks goods and materials in accordance with policies and safety procedures; maintains awareness of possible hazards at all times. Shrink wraps goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport. Inspects and maintains forklift and other material handling equipment. Notifies management when repairs are required. Complies with all safety regulations and company guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned by Lead or Manager.Skills Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to read and understand material tags and work orders. Must be able to pass SRP accredited forklift operating training and exam.Work Environment And Physical RequirementsThis position is based in a plant environment where proper PPE will be required while performing tasks and duties. The position requires walking and standing for prolonged periods. As part of the regular duties of the job, this position requires the use of hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
