Manufacturing ManagerA well-established, engineering-driven manufacturer in San Diego is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead plant operations and drive performance across production, quality, delivery, and cost. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, developing scalable systems, and building a high-performing operations team. The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of hands-on operational leadership and strategic process improvement. The OpportunityThis leader will: Own day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and on-time delivery commitments are consistently achieved Drive productivity improvements through data analysis, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives Lead production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization to maximize efficiency and resource utilization Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve operational challenges and improve throughput Develop, mentor, and elevate a manufacturing team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Strengthen safety practices and ensure regulatory compliance across the facility Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and equipment enhancements Oversee inventory control and coordinate material flow to support uninterrupted production Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and quality-driven material delivery Contribute to operational budgeting, forecasting, and long-term manufacturing strategy This role offers meaningful ownership and influence within a growing and technically sophisticated manufacturing environment. What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field (advanced degree a plus) Proven experience leading manufacturing operations with measurable performance improvements Strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and KPI-driven management Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams Experience working with ERP systems and production planning tools Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical skills Strategic mindset with hands-on operational leadership capability Strong communicator comfortable collaborating across technical and operational teams Why This RoleThis is not a maintenance leadership position.
