Local Truck Driver (Class A CDL Required) - Glendale, AZJob Location: Glendale, AZ Facility-85301 Office Location: Onsite Employment Type: Hourly Job Type: Full TimePay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 A.M. until job is completeThe Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods as directed by the company. This position plays a key role in representing the company through reliable service and customer interaction during deliveries and pickups. The Truck Driver must comply with all safety procedures, federal and state regulations, and company policies while maintaining high standards for vehicle operation and cleanliness. This position requires regular inspection of equipment, attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to customer service. The Truck Driver will operate only Flatbed trailers, 48 feet to 70 feet as well as Pneumatic trailers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Apply procedures using sound judgment based on direction, observation, and prior experienceDemonstrate working knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating PrinciplesSafely operate a truck to assigned destinationsConduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and accurately complete condition reportsMaintain a clean and organized trailer ready for loadingDeliver outstanding customer service during all delivery and pickup operationsRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and federal/state regulationsCommunicate professionally and effectively with team members, dispatch, and customersRespond promptly to accidents, incidents, or emergency situationsMaintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle at all timesInspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and compliance requirementsAssist in mentoring and training new or less experienced personnelPerform all duties in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsEnter and exit vehicles as needed for fueling and inspections; must be able to walk around the truck and perform tasks in extreme weather conditionsOperate manual transmission vehicles (shift gears as required)Work effectively as part of a team, follow directions, and take on additional responsibilities as neededOther duties as assignedQualifications:Must have or must be able to obtain a Class A CDL driver's licenseEducation: High School or GED equivalent
