You will assist with direct patient care as directed, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and at ease throughout their appointment and exam. In this role, your ability to facilitate a welcoming environment can make a difference in the lives of Cleveland Clinic patients every day.* A caregiver in this position works 7:00am to 5:00pm.A caregiver who excels in this role will:* Perform clinical and technical ophthalmic duties and perform basic patient care as directed by a physician or supervisor.* Receive and prepare patients for examination and treatment under the direction of a supervisor or physician.* Perform routine screening tests and document patient information in the patient medical record.* Stock and maintain exam rooms with equipment and supplies.* Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:* High school diploma or GED* One year of experience providing direct patient care under the supervision of an Ophthalmologist* Physical Requirements:* Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and PC.* Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds.* May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting.* Visual acuity, including the ability to distinguish colors.* Personal Protective Equipment:* Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeSalaries [which may be] shown on independent job search websites reflect various market averages and do not represent information obtained directly from The Cleveland Clinic.
