Fitter/Tacker We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter/Tacker to join our team. This role involves assembling, fitting, and securing steel structures and components for construction and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of structural fabrication processes, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to safety and precision. Key responsibilities include: Assemble, install, and secure steel structures and components in construction and industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Measure, cut, and prepare steel materials with accuracy. Ensure proper alignment and fit-up for welding and fabrication. Perform tack welding to secure components prior to final welding. Repair and reinforce steel structures as needed, ensuring durability and quality. Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Adhere to industry standards and company procedures in all fabrication work. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Fitter, Tacker, or in a similar metal fabrication role. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and preparing steel materials. Basic welding skills, with experience in tack welding preferred. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Knowledge of safety practices in construction and industrial environments.
