Assistant Logistics SpecialistUnder direction of theWarehouse and Logistics Managerand the Logistics Specialist,the Assistant roleis responsible forthe shipping team, product inventory and storage, customer order assembly, inventory, truck loading, truck receiving, materials and ingredients warehousing.Location: Websterville, VTHours:Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PMWage:$26.09/hrRequired Qualifications & Experiences18 years or olderBasic computer skillsAbility to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and possessbasic mathematical skillsPreferred Qualifications & Experiences1+ years of continuous prior experience in any industrySelf-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervisionAble to trouble shoot mechanical problemsCommunicates work order progress to supervisor and production operatorsCustomer focused and able to work in a collaborative teamAbility to be flexible in work performed and scheduleAbility to follow manufacturers specifications and directionsAble to work in a fast-paced environmentEnsures a safe working environment while performing assigned tasksEssential Functions& ResponsibilitiesAssistsin directing the warehouse teamReceives packaging and ingredients, inspects product and quantities, signs receiptsStores product in proper locationKeeps warehouse and cooler organized and cleanMaintains and keeps loading dock organized and cleanCompletes inventory based on schedule, reports to management and administrationPrepares orders based on purchase order, completes paperwork, checks product quality and integrity before building palletsSelects product based on code, records code on purchase orderWraps pallets, makes sure tags are accurateInspects trucks, completes QC forms, loads palletsChecks cooler temperature and records dataManages UPS/FedEx and other special orders and shipmentsManages product inventory and coding, discards out of code itemsKeeps track of product discards, donations, and records in programInspects warehouse equipment and manages supplies inventoryCoordinates with sales and production teamPerforms environmental cleaning of the warehouse and coolersActs as a backup when the Logistics Specialist isunavailableFollows all procedures, GMPs, Safety, Quality, and Sanitation plansIdentifiesand reports all potentially non-conforming productand equipment to Supervisorand the Quality Assurance DepartmentHelpsin other departments, as neededEssential Physical RequirementsFrequent movement includingwalking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movementsPerforming duties while wearing personal protective equipmentWorking across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is presentShift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtimeAbout Land O'Lakes, Inc.Join us and be part of a Fortune 250, farmer- and member-owned cooperative that is reimagining the business of food.
