Software Engineer

Software EngineerAdaptX is searching for a software engineer who specializes in API and backend development. This person will directly impact the success of our products through significant contributions on the engineering team. They will thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance AdaptX's codebaseDeliver clean maintainable code with adequate unit testsResolve technical issues through research and creativityDesign and implement complex backend systems to a high standardCoordinate with stakeholders to ensure software designs meet requirementsIdentify and fix bugs that are found within codeWork closely with product management and design to define feature requirements and develop code that materially impact product successWork collaboratively with other team membersDocument work appropriatelyRequirements4 or more years of experience implementing and evolving distributed systems, preferably focused on data storage, analytics and retrievalExperience with Python is preferred, Java, Kotlin and/or Go are helpfulExperience with Graph Database Systems and NoSQL platforms is a significant bonusExcellent communication skills, with the ability to seek clarification and making design choices as appropriateNaturally curious and comfortable using data to drive decisionsTeam-oriented and collaborativeStrong ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective waysDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organizationStrong ability to operate within a dynamic, fast paced, and sometimes ambiguous environmentStrong ability to anticipate and understand customer needs and opportunitiesBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceAdaptX is an equal opportunity employer.
