Overview In this role you will contribute to software development initiatives by delivering Java J2EE-based solutions within a global, delivery-focused team. You will design and implement API-driven features, ensuring secure, scalable, high-performance applications. You will translate business requirements into technical designs and work across the SDLC to support maintenance and development projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape backend systems and collaborate with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced IT services environment. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Java J2EE applications across the SDLCEngage in project lifecycle activities for development and maintenance effortsDesign API endpoints using Java, REST, Spring, Jersey, Hibernate and SQLOperate with Tomcat or other major application serversImplement OAuth2 or equivalent API authentication mechanismsUtilize API tooling such as Swagger or RAML along with unit testing and code reviewsDesign multi-threaded, scalable, secure, and high-performance distributed systemsTranslate business requirements into technical solutions and perform complex designsCollaborate with cross-functional teams in a global delivery setting Key requirements4+ years in Java J2EE and software development lifecycle3+ years in development and maintenance project lifecycles3+ years in API design and development with Java, REST, Spring, Jersey, Hibernate, SQL3+ years of experience with Tomcat or similar application servers2+ years with OAuth2 or equivalent API authentication2+ years of API tooling (Swagger or RAML) plus unit testing and code reviewexperience in multi-threaded, scalable, secure distributed applicationsstrong analytical skills and ability to translate requirements into technical solutionsgood written and verbal communication and global delivery experienceStrong analytical skillsClear written and verbal communicationAbility to work in a global delivery environmentJavaJ2EEREST
