This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.In the role of Mechanical EIT, we'll count on you to:Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projectsPerform routine mechanical engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and proceduresWrite and edit mechanical specifications, and select mechanical systems and devicesUtilize engineering software to develop HVAC loads, energy analysis and mechanical equipment selectionsPrepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design of buildings, including drawings, specifications and reportsWork independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projectsSupervise work of Mechanical CAD Technicians, and coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff and other engineering disciplinesTake responsibility for construction contract administration requiring field inspections and conflict resolutionPerform other duties as needed Preferred QualificationsCommercial/Institutional experience in healthcare a plusMaster's degree in in Mechanical EngineeringHealthcare and Hospital design experienceComprehension of OSHPD/ HCAI requirementsSciences, Laboratory and Cleanroom experienceProficiency in Trace 3D and IESVE4+ years of experience with HVAC or plumbing Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Engineer in Training (EIT) certificateProficiency in MS Office and AutoCADAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position is $71,000 - $101,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
