Overview As Infrastructure Consultant 2, you will help ensure resilient IT infrastructure through incident resolution, capacity planning, and automation. You will collaborate with client and internal teams to assess environments, design scalable solutions, and document technical guidance. The role balances hands-on PostgreSQL DBA duties with deployment excellence, security checks, and continuous improvement. Compensation / BenefitsMedical/Dental/Vision/Life InsuranceLong-term/Short-term DisabilityHealth and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts401(k) plan with company contributionsPaid holidays and Paid Time Off ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, perform root cause analyses, and document preventive recommendations.Evaluate client IT infrastructure, prepare actionable assessment reports, and support due diligence to document maturity and improvement opportunities.Contribute to design of scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions, review reusable components, and develop technical documentation.Align release schedules and environment readiness, execute deployments per protocols, perform post-deployment testing, and manage version control.Coordinate maintenance schedules, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring uninterrupted integration into existing systems.Facilitate performance data analysis across systems, coordinate insights on system behavior, and support capacity planning to optimize performance.Conduct security checks, recovery drills, and compliance audits, implement security measures, and coordinate continuity plans to maintain adherence to standards.Gather feedback to identify automation opportunities, analyze existing infrastructure processes, and propose enhancements for efficiency gains.Act as liaison with onsite, offshore, and vendor teams to document project requirements, ensuring effective collaboration.Develop a centralized repository of technical and procedural knowledge, leveraging insights from other projects to drive efficiency and retain organizational expertise Key requirementsPostgreSQL DBA experience in development, test, and production environments.Design, implement, and support PostgreSQL high availability, replication and disaster recovery using Patroni.Strong PostgreSQL performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, and security know-how.Hands-on experience with MVCC, WAL, query planner, locking, and buffer management.Proven track record in production PostgreSQL incidents, root cause analysis, and performance optimization under heavy traffic.SQL skills including optimization and explain plans (EXPLAIN / EXPLAIN ANALYZE).Backup/recovery tools such as pgDump and pgRestore; CommVault is a plus.Linux/Unix OS proficiency and shell scripting (Bash).Ability to create detailed database infrastructure documentation.Willingness to work PST time zone with rotating shifts for 24/7/365 support.Collaborative mindsetexcellent communication skillsability to work with cross-functional teamsPostgreSQL DBA expertisePatroni for HA and DRPerformance tuning and optimization
