Job SummaryAs the candidate for this largely laboratory-based position, you will be responsible for driving cutting-edge analytical support and technology development impacting process and product development teams.You will work cross-functionally and across Process Development sites as you use analytical science to help drive efficient development and scalable understanding of processes and products.Strong theoretical understanding, research in, and hands-on experience in small molecule/peptide analysis in support of process development/scale up activities and formulation development in GMP and non-GMP environmentsExperience with a broad array of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.Demonstrate independence and ability to produce quality results under minimal directionGenerate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and laboratory notebookHigh energy individual who can multi-task and handle a fast-pace, dynamic work environmentOperate specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentationPerform general laboratory housekeeping activitiesComplete training on assigned tasksComply with safety guidelines and site specific procedures which include but is not limited to, the maintenance of training records, laboratory documentation, written procedures, building monitoring systems and laboratory log bookslocation: Newbury Park, Californiajob type: Contractsalary: $18.00 - 21.45 per hourwork hours: 9 to 5education: High SchoolResponsibilitiesPerform hands on laboratory work supporting protein formulation development and stability studies for therapeutic proteins.Prepare and handle protein samples, including routine activities such as pipetting, dialysis, and concentration adjustments.Run analytical assays for protein characterization, with regular use of HPLC/UPLC chromatography for protein analysis.Conduct biochemical and biophysical characterization experiments to assess protein quality and stability.Analyze and interpret experimental data and organize results for internal discussions or summaries when needed.Document experiments accurately using electronic laboratory notebooks (HLEE).Collaborate with cross functional team members, contributing to experimental execution and ongoing development activities.QualificationsBachelor's degree OR Associate's degree and 2 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 4 years of experienceProtein formulation & biochemistry fundamentals: Strong understanding of protein chemistry/structure.Hands on analytical lab skills: Practical experience with protein sample preparation and HPLC/UPLC chromatography for protein analysis.Data analysis & documentation: Ability to analyze and interpret experimental data, clearly communicate results, and maintain accurate records in electronic lab notebooks.skills: Chromatography, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Randstad, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
