Oncology RN (PRN)

OverviewAlliance Cancer Specialists is seeking a compassionate and skilled On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our oncology care team at our Main Line Location (Lakenau Hopsital). In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment as needed. You’ll work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support patients through every step of their cancer journey.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver professional nursing care in accordance with national standards and oncology-specific guidelinesAssess patient health status through interviews, physical exams, and review of medical historyAdminister medications, blood products, and therapies under physician supervisionPerform venipuncture, access ports, and maintain central line devicesMonitor lab results and collaborate with physicians on dose modifications and symptom managementEducate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and available resourcesProvide psychosocial support and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary teamMaintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control protocolsAssist with scheduling, triaging patient calls, and managing medication refill requestsServe as a mentor to LPNs, MAs, and less experienced nursesParticipate in professional development and stay current with oncology nursing best practicesQualificationsGraduate of an accredited nursing programCurrent RN license and registration with the State Board of NursingCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationMinimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (oncology experience preferred)Physical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbsManual dexterity and visual acuity required for patient care tasksExposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and medical preparations common to oncology clinicsIn-person interaction with patients, physicians, and clinical staff is essentialWhy Join Alliance Cancer Specialists?At Alliance, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team that’s making a real difference in the lives of patients.
