Software Test Engineer

Job Responsibilities:Job Description:The Software Test Engineer will be a hands-on technical contributor responsible for building, maintaining and scaling automated test frameworks for embedded software running on our precision field computer platform. The role focuses on developing a robust automated test cases based on system requirements, validating embedded to network communications and ensuring compliance with industry standards.Key Responsibilities- Evaluate test requirements, based on specifications, standard procedures, and internal/external requirements.- Design, create and run automated test cases.- Develop test plans and procedures.- Execute and document tests.- Identify and recommend test equipment, production equipment, fixturing, or tooling needed to meet product specifications.- Prepare reports of testing data, evaluate, and provide recommendations based on findings. Lead or contribute input for improvements.- Train team members on utilization of test equipment and procedures.- Keep abreast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications.- May assist with the request for quote process, as related to needs for the testing function.Experience Required- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.- 3+ years of experience in software test automation for embedded systems.- Strong proficiency in Python with 3+ years of experience for test case development and framework automation- Experience working with Selenium or Playwright- Familiarity with virtualization/emulation environments.- Experience with git and supporting CI/CD tools.
