Local Delivery Manager

Position SummaryThe Local Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing drivers and vehicles to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely local deliveries four days per week. This role manages driver scheduling, route planning, and vehicle maintenance coordination while ensuring full compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Manager serves as the primary point of contact for drivers and works closely with warehouse, kitchen, and customer service teams to ensure seamless delivery operations. The Manager must be willing to cover delivery routes when necessary.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead a team of delivery drivers, providing training, guidance, coaching, and performance management.Cover delivery routes as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.Schedule and dispatch drivers for local and regional delivery routes.Monitor delivery progress to ensure on-time performance and promptly resolve any issues.Oversee vehicle scheduling, preventive maintenance, and compliance with safety and DOT regulations.Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, driver logs, and performance.Coordinate with kitchen and warehouse teams to ensure orders are prepared and ready for dispatch.Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and compliance standards.Track, analyze, and report delivery performance metrics; implement process improvements as needed.Prior experience in logistics, transportation, fleet, or delivery management preferred.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and DOT/local transportation regulations preferred.Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.Valid driver's license with clean driving record (recommended to add, if applicable).
