Opportunity:
DeVry University’s College of Engineering & Information Sciences offers certificate and degree programs focused on innovation and practical application to help students begin their careers or prepare for professional positions with greater responsibility and reward. Curricula are developed with insight from industry experts who serve on our national advisory committee and include intensive practical and applied assignments employing the latest equipment and technologies, are taught by faculty with real-world experience.
This position is a full-time faculty in computer science domain supporting students enrolled in the dual degree program at the DeVry University Advantage Academy. This innovative two-year program is designed for students entering their junior year where they graduate with both a Chicago Public Schools (CPS) high school diploma and an associate degree from DeVry University. Hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
Course delivery (12 – 15 classes over five sessions totaling 45 – 48 credit hours) across multiple learning modalities
Delivering courses to dual degree students on-site at Chicago campus during the day
Delivering courses to traditional DeVry University students enrolled throughout the Chicagoland campuses in the evening
Advising and mentoring of students
Mentorship of visiting faculty
Supporting University initiatives
Engagement in scholarly activities and professional development

Required Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in computer science, information science, information systems or related domain/field or a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 credit hours in one of the above fields (Doctoral Degree highly recommended)
Three to five years of practiced experience in the field of computer science, information science, information systems or related domain/field
Two to five years previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level
Domain related certifications
