We are currently seeking a .NET Solution Architect. This position’s work schedule is three days onsite in East Hartford, CT and two days remote. A fully remote work schedule is not an option.Job DescriptionThe organization maintains a variety of computer systems used across courts and state agencies throughout Connecticut. The Information Technology Division is seeking a Solution Architect to support system development, enhancement, integration, and documentation efforts. The application environment includes Windows-based and web-based .NET applications with SQL Server database backends.Scope of Services The selected candidate will be expected to contribute immediately in the following areas:Reconcile current business requirements with modern information technology standards. Identify technical risks, system limitations, and constraints. Estimate development timelines and project effort. Support software development, testing, deployment, and release management activities. Ensure code quality and adherence to established development standards. Mentor development staff and provide architectural guidance. Minimum QualificationsGeneral ExperienceMinimum of ten (10) years of experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions for complex business requirements. Prior experience in software architecture and solution design. Technical Skills.NET 6 and .NET 8 .NET MVC and Razor Pages Entity Framework .NET Web API Azure Authentication / Microsoft Entra SQL Server 2016 and later Ability to write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries SSIS and SSRS IIS 8.5 and later Azure DevOps SQL Server performance tuning, including: Query execution plan analysis Index analysis and optimization SQL Server deadlock resolution Root-cause analysis of blocking issues Bootstrap, jQuery, and other front-end frameworks Messaging APIs such as Service Broker and SignalR Strong understanding and implementation of common object-oriented programming design patterns.
