This full-time role offers rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, and comes with exceptional financial incentives for qualified candidates.\n Sign-On Bonus Details:\n\n$12,000 for therapists with 0–1 year of experience (2-year commitment)\n$20,000 for therapists with 1+ years of experience (2-year commitment)\n\n\n Who We're Looking For:\nWe welcome Respiratory Therapists at all career stages, including:\n\nCertified Respiratory Therapists (CRT)\nRegistered Respiratory Therapists (RRT)\nSenior Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT)\n\nFinal title and compensation are based on your education, experience, and certifications.\n\n What You'll Do:\nAs a Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide life-saving care and support to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. You'll work under physician direction to deliver advanced therapies and interventions across a variety of settings, including:\n\nOperating Rooms (OR), Emergency Department (ED), Cath Lab, and Transport\nAdministering Nitric Oxide (NO), Tracheal Gas Insufflation (TGI), and mechanical ventilation\nPerforming bronchoscopy, ABG lab troubleshooting, pulmonary function tests, EEG, EKG, stress testing, and more\nLeading respiratory care procedures and mentoring students and staff\nResponding to code situations and assisting with patient transport\n\nYou may also serve as a Lead Respiratory Therapist when needed, supporting team coordination and clinical excellence.\n\n Why Join Us?\n\nCompetitive compensation and benefits\nCareer growth and leadership opportunities\nSupportive, collaborative team environment\nMeaningful work that makes a difference every day\n\n\nReady to take the next step in your respiratory therapy career? Apply today and be part of a team that values your expertise and dedication.\nMust be a graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.\nAssociate's degree is preferred.\n\nIf you do not have an Associate's degree, you must meet one of the following:\nHave 5 to 7 years of respiratory care experience, or\nHold a National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification.\n\nBachelor's degree is preferred.\nMust have at least 2 years of total respiratory care experience, including 1 year in critical care.\nWithin 3 months of hire, you must select and get approval for one department-approved project.\n\nThis project must be completed during each annual performance review period.\n\n\n\nLicensure, Certifications & Clearances:\nAll Employees:\n\nMust have CPR certification that meets AHA standards, including both classroom and hands-on components, within 30 days of hire.\n\nIf Practicing in Pennsylvania:\n\nMust have a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in Pennsylvania.\nMust be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certified by the NBRC.\n\nIf you earned your RRT after July 1, 2002, you must maintain certification per NBRC requirements.\n\n\n\nBasic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)\nOsteopathic Respiratory Care OR Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP)\nRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)\nAct 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal\nAct 33 with renewal\nAct 34 with renewal\nAct 73 FBI Clearance with renewal\n\nUPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
