MEP - BIM Coordinator

Job SummarySouthern MEP is seeking a skilled and experienced MEP BIM Coordinator to support and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities across industrial construction projects. This role is essential in driving digital coordination of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems, improving design accuracy, and ensuring seamless collaboration between multidisciplinary project teams. The MEP BIM Coordinator will work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to implement BIM standards, manage models, and support the integration of BIM technologies throughout all phases of project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate MEP-focused BIM modeling (HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems) across industrial construction projects.Oversee implementation and maintenance of BIM software and workflows to ensure consistency across project teams.Manage integration of MEP models with architectural and structural models for full project coordination.Perform and lead clash detection and resolution specifically for MEP systems using Navisworks.Ensure model accuracy, data integrity, and constructability of all MEP systems throughout the project lifecycle.Collaborate with Project Managers to align MEP design deliverables with construction schedules and field installation requirements.Required Qualifications3-5 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator with a strong MEP focus (HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical systems)Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP (mechanical systems required).Strong working knowledge of Navisworks for MEP clash detection and coordinationFamiliarity with HVAC and plumbing design principles.Industrial construction or large-scale commercial MEP coordination.Strong communication, and coordination skills.Why Join Southern MEP Inc.?Competitive compensation and benefits package.Opportunity to work on high-impact industrial projects across the Southeast.Supportive team culture focused on safety, innovation, and professional growth.Work life balanceSouthern MEP employs trained professionals in a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing fields.
