The Bone Museum — Brooklyn, NYFull-Time/Hybrid Starting at $19.00/hourThe Bone Museum is looking for a talented Video Editor to enhance our digital media presence. This is a full-time, hybrid position ideal for a technically skilled Video editor who is eager to grow with our expanding digital platform.About the RoleYou will be responsible for editing long-form YouTube videos from start to finish, as well as creating and clipping short-form promotional content for the museum's various social media pages. This role also entails effective file management and editing short-form reels that capture our audience's attention. You will collaborate closely with The Bone Museum Team to edit engaging content in addition to working alongside our in-house videographer. Consistency, organization, and a clear understanding of pacing and visual engagement across platforms are essential. We are seeking a dedicated in-house editor to manage all our media needs.ResponsibilitiesEdit long form content end-to-end using DaVinci Resolve Studio.Edit short-form content optimized for social platforms.Adhere to an organized workflow to deliver approximately 2 long-form YouTube videos and 20 short-form videos per month aligned with weekly publishing goals.Apply platform-specific pacing, visual rhythm, and engagement principlesQualifications2+ years of combined experience in video editing & content creationProficiency in DaVinci ResolveModerate proficiency in Motion graphics, audio, color correction, alongside a loose/adaptive understanding of anatomy.Understanding of YouTube and Social Media engagement.Strong time management and organizational skills.Creatively driven work ethic.Why Join The Bone MuseumThis role offers the opportunity to grow with an educational media brand that is actively expanding its digital reach.
