Communications Technician
Our client, a well-known higher education facility, is actively hiring a Communications Technician to join their team in Chicago, IL! This role will be on-site. *This is a 6 month W2 contract with benefits offered!*In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, diagnosing, and implementing the repair of communications networks, equipment, and software. You will diagnose carrier-related problems, including digital and analog circuits, and report issues or open tickets with carrier services. Responsibilities:Respond to customer questions and inquiries regarding the features and functions of the communications systemsEnter incidents and request tickets in ServiceNow and properly document tickets Install communications equipment Assist carreirs with access to their closets and equipmentGuide and assist new Communication Technicians in the orientation and proficiency growth in their voice systemsSkills:Associate's degree in Electronics or a related field 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving issues with voice communications infrastrucutreExperience working in academic and/or healthcare environments is a plusExperience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unity technologies Motion Recruitment Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
