Cold Heading Machine Operator/Trainee

Overview Full time opportunity for an experienced cold heading machine operator/trainee. Dayshift schedule, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, M-F weekdays Responsibilities Operate and monitor machinery under the guidance of experienced operators Assist in the setup and calibration of equipment for production runs Use of micrometers, calipers, gages, hand tools Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines as needed Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines Document production processes and maintain accurate records Skills Mechanical ability Familiarity with operating cold heading machines, lathes, and other manufacturing equipment is a plus Basic understanding of blueprint reading Experience with hand tools, and tooling techniques is beneficial Knowledge of forklift operation is advantageous but not required Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety Physical Requirements Must be able to lift approximately 40 lbs Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours per day Manual desterity Ability to bend and twist in different positions and push or pull to make adjustments to machine Machines include Asahi Okuma 1 die 2 blow and 2 die 2 blow manufacturing screws and rivets.
