DevOps EngineerHouston, TX, United StatesJob DescriptionWe are seeking a DevOps Engineer to help streamline our development and deployment processes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role focuses on building and maintaining the tooling, pipelines, and infrastructure that enable fast, reliable, and secure software delivery.You'll work closely with engineering teams to improve developer productivity, automate infrastructure, and ensure consistent, repeatable deployments across environments.Detailed Description:Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deliveryProvision and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as TerraformAutomate build, test, and deployment workflows to improve release velocityCollaborate with developers to standardize development environments and deployment patternsManage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE)Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutionsImprove system reliability and deployment safety through automation and toolingSupport incident response and troubleshoot issues across development, staging, and production environmentsEnforce security best practices within pipelines and infrastructureOptimize cloud usage for performance and cost efficiencyRequired Qualifications:3+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or related rolesExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go)Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and cloud architectureExperience with monitoring and logging toolsHands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform , including:GCP : GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub (or equivalents)Cloud Monitoring & LoggingBigQueryDataflowDatastreamIAM and networkingComposer/AIrflowKubernetes: deployment, scaling, reliability patternsObservability : GCP Cloud Monitoring, LoggingMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Knowledge of security and compliance practices in cloud environments5+ years experience in Data Engineering, DataOps, or Data Platform OperationsAbility to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employee to issue, receive and respond to both safety and operations-related directions in EnglishPreferred Qualifications:Oil and Gas Industry knowledgeTechnology/Digital Industry knowledge
